The sun was on the point of rising.
=The suen was about to rise.
해가 막 떠오르는 참이었다.
7. be worth ~ing : ~할 가치가 있다.
This book is worth reading again and again.
=It is worthwhile to read this book again and again.
이 책은 여러번 읽을 가치가 있다.
8. feel like ~ing : ~하고 싶은 기분이 든다.
I felt like crying at the sight.
=I felt inclined to cry at the sight.
나는 그 광경에 울고 싶은 마음이었다.
9. What do you say to ~ing : ~하는 건 어때?
What do you say to going to swimming?
=How about going to swimming?
=What about going to swimming?
=Let's go.... , shall we?
수영하러 가는 게 어때요?
10. On ~ing : ~하자마자
On entering the room, we at once perceived that he was a man of taste.
=As soon as we entered the room, we at once perceived that he was a man of taste.
그 방에 들어가자마자, 우리는 즉시 그가 멋을 아는 사람이라는 것을 알아차렸다.
